Better photos of Phil's XR650R

I'm recieving dozens of email questions about the bike
Hopefully the following notes will answer a lot of the recurring queries
And save me a lot of precious time!

I'm happy to answer any questions, but please take a few minutes to read through before emailing me to ask.
Best regards
Phil

Be aware that there are cosmetic scuffs on plastics, crankcases and frame, these in no way affect the running of the bike - it's just that some people are asking me "is the bike mint", it is in very good condition but not mint - it has been used off-road. The bike has not been raced. Oil and filter changed at 2500 miles. Valve clearances checked at same time.

CRD aluminium frame protectors behind kickstart. Acerbis aluminium framed barkbuster style handguards. Notice there are boot scuffs and scrapes on the engine casings - the bike is in very good condition but it has been used. Electric starter toggle switch visible in the headlamp cowl.

Standard exhaust fitted with 'loud', freeflowing honda competition tip. Rear numberplate / rearlight assembly has led running light (above numberplate). The top of the mudguard light is wired to illuminate as the brake light. Notice rear Braking wavy brake disc. Brake pads have a lot of wear left.

Battery for electric starter is situated opposite the exhaust muffler. Wheels are excel rims on talon hubs with stainless spokes. Chain, chain guides and talon rear sprocket are well within wear tolerances.

Boechat electric starter visible above left engine casing. Tyres have life left in them. Heavy duty tube fitted to rear. Dunlop mousse fitted to front.

Closer view of electric starter, note scuffs on frame protector and engine casing. Bash plate is currently not fitted. Vapour temperature sensor is located in the join of the left radiator pipe. SRC casesaver fitted to protect the engine casing in rare event of a broken chain.

Lot of extra cash here: Billet top clamp with higher bar risers and fatter clamps to accomodate renthal fatbars. GPR Steering damper is adjustable on the fly with 8 levels of damping adjustment. Vapour clocks fitted onto custom aluminium plate. The digital clocks are a real improvement on the standard honda item. Revcounter and tempgauges are useful. Also they display current time, lap times, accumulated mileage, accumulated running time. They have programmable revlimit indicator and temp limit indicators. Very trick. Notice the electric starter button to the right of the killswitch.

Standard Honda wheels and brake discs included, Continental TKC80 tyres fitted front VGC, rear half worn.

Parts included in the sale. CRD heavy duty bashplate. The standard honda bashplate. Standard bars, topclamp, handprotectors, clocks, mudguard, mirror. All paperwork is present and correct. All old tax discs, V5 registration doc, manuals, steering lock keys, MOT certificate.

FMF powercore exhaust in used conditon. Looks great on the bike, but a bit too loud for my delicate ears. FMF powerbomb headers are included. The system does seem to give a little more top-end power, but there is slightly less bottom end torque.

The bike has done 3771 miles in total. The original clocks were swapped for the vapor unit after 1693KM (1051 miles). The bike has done 2720 miles on the vapor clock, a total of 3771 miles. I may ride the bike before sale, so this could increase by a few miles.
